This is an outline of the Marcellus potential area extent used to clip Marcellus Shale carbon storage grid points. Area along the northern and northwestern border of the outline is determined too shallow (less than 2500 feet), and area along west to southwestern border is considered too thin to evaluate (less than 25 feet).

Boundary outline of carbon storage potential was generated for gridding and results for outlined area were presented in Appalachian Basin topical report (Carter, and others, 2019).
