<idAbs>&lt;DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;This dataset contains an isochore contour map (lines, feet, contour interval=25) for the Java Formation for West Virginia; the dataset is one product from the 2018 study, "Lithostratigraphy of Middle and Upper Devonian Organic-Rich Shales in West Virginia"*, conducted by the U.S. Department of Energy / National Energy Technology Laboratory (U.S. DOE/NETL) and the West Virginia Geological &amp;amp; Economic Survey (WVGES). The study resulted in WVGES Reports of Investigation 35 (RI-35) and other accompanying WVGES RI-35 products. Data are from a state-wide sampling and localized study would be needed to be more certain of the details of any particular area. Location data for the study were obtained from the WVGES Oil and Gas Database; stratigraphic unit depths and interval thicknesses were determined from examination of geophysical well logs obtained from WVGES and IHS.
