Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>This dataset provides a well location map, porosity values, and other accompanying data for the Tuscarora Sandstone of the Indian Creek field in Kanawha County, West Virginia (WV). </SPAN></SPAN><SPAN>The porosity map was developed using a calculated average porosity log (PHIA). The PHIA log was calculated in IHS Petra </SPAN><SPAN /><SPAN>from the neutron porosity and density porosity logs using the following formula:</SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN>PHIA = (Density porosity log + Neutron Porosity log)/2.0.</SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>PHIA was only calculated for wells that had both density porosity and neutron porosity logs that penetrated the entire Tuscarora Sandstone interval. To ensure the entire Tuscarora was included, PHIA was only calculated if the well had both a Tuscarora top and base. The average porosity data were further refined in Petra</SPAN><SPAN /><SPAN> using the Log Footage Summation tool. The PHIA log was the input into the tool with a minimum cutoff porosity of 0 and a maximum cutoff of 1. The output average porosity values are expressed as decimals. For example, a value on the map of .050 would equate to 5% porosity.
