The main purpose of this dataset is to provide regional-scale guidance as to the thickness of the target units which may be suitable for deep geologic sequestration. This data should not be used as a substitute for detailed site investigations. This project was funded by the U.S. Department of Energy DE-FE0031836. |

This data set depicts the thickness of top to base of the New Albany Shale Group within upper Devonian age, Illinois, Indiana, and part of Kentucky. The map was created using PETRA software by IHS. Data imported to the PETRA Main. The contour lines were created by Map module. The grid was created using a "Kingdom Flex Gridding" mapping algorithm. Grid size: X=8000 ft Y=8000 ft, unit in feet, zero-contour-adjustment, search radius 0, minimum tension, smooth contour line, no faults or hand contouring applied. The contours clipped to erosional boundaries.

Author/Originator: Illinois State Geological Survey

Date Created: 2021

|
