Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>This is a thickness grid of the Lockport Dolomite in eastern Ohio. This dataset was originally created for the Midwestern Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnership 2017 final report (Department of Energy Cooperative Agreement No. DE-FC26-05NT42589). Only eastern Ohio was studied, although the formation does extend beyond the area of interest. This data set contains subsurface information on the Lower-Upper Silurian Lockport Dolomite in eastern Ohio compiled from hardcopy and digital public data housed at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Geological Survey and Division of Oil and Gas Resources Management. Data points were determined by geologist using well logs throughout eastern Ohio in Petra software, and then exported in ArcGIS for contouring. Suspect tops were identified using cluster number. The resultant tops were used to generate initial contours using Inverse Distance Weighting in Geostatistical Analysist in ArcGIS. These initial contours were then hand edited to reflect formation thickness distribution patterns. The edited contours were then regridded to produce the final thickness grid. </SPAN></P><P><SPAN>This work was funded in part of the Department of Energy Midwestern Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnership (Department of Energy Cooperative Agreement No. DE-FC26-05NT42589), and the Ohio severance taxes.
